SUPPLIER ASSESSMENT
Pedro Sendim, lda, with the aim of maintaining a service of excellence and quality, and meeting the objectives of its quality management system, carries out a continuous evaluation of all its suppliers.
The supplier’s assessment of its products/services is carried out taking into account the following factors:
* Compliance with purchase requirements: quality of products/services at the time of supply
* Quality of products/services during the use process
* Compliance with delivery deadline
* Ability to respond to requests
The data is evaluated on a scale from 0 to 100, with 0 showing the greatest dissatisfaction (“bad”) and 100 the greatest satisfaction (“great”).
The weight associated with that criterion is multiplied to the score assigned:

2 | Product/service quality | 0,35 |
3 | Compliance with Delivery Deadlines | 0,20 |
4 | Responsiveness to requests | 0,15 |
According to the result, the supplier is qualified according to the following scale:
- Type A supplier Between 85 and 100 – GREAT
- Type B supplier Between 60 and 84 – GOOD
- Type C supplier Between 40 and 59 – REASONABLE (IMPROVEMENT NEEDED)
- Supplier type D Less than 40 – BAD (POSSIBILITY OF EXCLUSION)
The selected suppliers are preferably those with a type A final classification. However, type B suppliers may be admitted.
When a supplier is in type C (Reasonable), the evaluation obtained and which points should be improved will be communicated.
Type D suppliers will not be selected, as they do not meet the requirements, except in single supplier situations (specific actions being taken at the time of purchase).
